Mrs.Rosie Frances Curry Crenshaw- Williams was born on June 26, 1934 in Alabama.
Rosie 79, of Atmore, A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted Christian peacefully surrendered to the Savior's call on Saturday, June 14 at Scared Heart Hospital In Pensacola Fl.
She was a native and longtime resident of Escambia Country Alabama. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Escambia Country Training School and a loyal and devoted member of
Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Nokomis, Alabama. She was a very active member in church as she served as President of the choir and Sunday School teacher. She had a love and passion for signing and often rendered solos and gospel selections through out this area.
Mrs. Rosie had worked as a pressure in the dry cleaning industry. First, working many years with Joy Cleaners and then lastly for many years at the Corner's Cleaners until she retired in 2009.
Those whom are waiting her arrival into the Kingdom include a daughter, Elaine Brown, a son Willie Clarence Crenshaw, Her parents, Woodrow and Rosie Curry Sr; Her sisters Mary Crenshaw-Evans, Irene Coleman, Ethel Mae Bowmen, Josephine Lewis, Lucy Curry and Catherine Curry. Her brothers, Eddie Lee Curry, and Woodrow Curry Jr, and a Grandson: Terry Levon Crenshaw.
Those who are left to cherish and embrace her legacy are her husband, Elmore Williams, JR. of Atmore. (6)daughters, Elmira Crenshaw, and Helen Crenshaw both of Philadelphia, PA, Joyce Crenshaw, Gwen(Charles)Crenshaw-Davis , Alma Renee Crenshaw all of Atmore, and Veronica (Steve) Jenkins of Pensacola, FL; (7)sons, Charlie Crenshaw, JR, Calvin Crenshaw, Anderson Crenshaw, Gilbert Crenshaw, and Jerome Crenshaw all of Philadelphia, PA, O'Neal Crenshaw, and Winston Crenshaw both of Atmore; stepdaughter: Sharon Nettles (3)sisters, Louise(bishop Andrew)Hawthorne of Nashville, AR, Elizabeth(Jimmy)McPherson and Savannah Curry of Atmore; (4)brothers, Willie (Mary)Curry, Samuel(Betty)Curry, Aaron(Marjorie)Curry, and Melvin Curry all of Atmore; one adopted brother: Bishop Dr. Willie.L. Williams; two aunts: Emma Curry and Laura Bell Curry, sisters-in-law: Barbara Curry and Anarene Smith of Atmore , Alabama; brother-in-law: George William; daughter -in-law Ajanette Russell-Crenshaw, (54)Grandchildren, (96)Great Grandchildren, and (9)Great, Great Grandchildren; three special friends: Willie Ruth, Mae Fanny both of Atmore, and Reginald W Tolbert of Mobile, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
